I revel in California's vast and breathtaking Coastline as much as the next girl. But for many locals, the shoreline holds significant memories. This is true for today's spotline Southern California couple!
SoCal Couple
Jenna and Jonathan are both artists who met in 2019 at the La Jolla Playhouse(where Jonathan was working at the time). One evening, Jonathan asked their mutual friend group to come to the beach spontaneously in celebration of his Birthday. Jenna alone showed up. After that time alone together, their relationship quickly blossomed into something more.
Since then, Jenna and Jonathan have raised their pup, Stanley(who has his own Instagram Page), together, moved in, got engaged in Italy, and married at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park(which is so fitting for two artists).
But before their wedding in 2024, they went with me back to La Jolla, where it all began, for their engagement photos. Jenna, a real estate photographer on the West Coast, exemplifies casual luxury in her work, which I wanted to emulate in their SoCal Shoreline shoot. I'm so happy these two appreciate La Jolla's natural Coastline. With its scenic cliffs, paragliders soaring in the distance, and golden sunsets, this SoCal couple truly shined in their element.

Golden Hour started to come to an end; this was when we decided to go down to the ocean to chase after the final sunbeams of the day.
Blue Hour at La Jolla Beach
Once the sun set, we hit what’s called the “blue hour.” The light depletes, and everything gains this moody gray/blue hue. The setting that day was a perfect mix of classic and romantic.
